Did you know that you can start an online business for as little as $30 a month?
Yes, it’s true.
As research for you, I picked a tough niche that I was only semi-familiar with, and I started a business. I chose PLR with Acai Berries for Women as my niche, and my website is www.PLRStars.com. I was actually surprised that this domain was available even though it was not my first choice. I wanted to experiment with the cost of starting an online business. My goal was to keep my costs down to the minimum while still achieving productivity.
Step 1: Web-Hosting & Domain
First, I bought a web-hosting package through BlueHost for $6.95 per month. They were offering a special, so I also received my Domain Name for FREE (woohoo!).
Step 2: Auto-Responder
Next, I signed up for an auto responder service. I have always had great results with Aweber, and they are only $19.95 per month.
Step 3: Payment Processor
Since my whole goal was building a business with the least amount of cost, I chose to use PayPal as my payment processor. Unless you are strictly limited by your budget, I do recommend using a shopping cart software like 1Shopping Cart because you do often get what you pay for…and free is not usually the most ideal offering.
Step 4: Create a Product
I am personally try to write 100% of my content – mainly for search engine rankings, so I do not have a lot of first-hand experience in using PLR. However, there are vast resources available online surrounding all things about PLR. Since I was under a time crunch, I chose to simple start with promoting affiliate links while I created my own PLR products.
Step 5: Create a Sales Funnel
With my mailing list and affiliate products, I mapped out a high-quality backend sales system using recurring revenue websites. This allowed me to start off each month with recurring revenue already coming in. To learn more about how to create the sales funnel for your business click here.
Step 6: Continue Building Traffic
Traffic coming to your website is very important because it brings in a constant new flow of visitors to your website who want to buy your products! Although, I have this listed as step 6, it serves more as a reminder that you need to continuously drive traffic to your website to be successful in online business.
